Welcome

At Rein Dance Performance Horses, located in King William, Virginia, you'll discover endless possibilities for improving your riding, groundwork, and overall communication with your horse through the more "primitive" techniques that are the foundation of today's natural horsemanship.  Our objective is to offer a creative, safe and fun place to grow and learn, and we do this by setting up a clear, two-way dialogue between you and your horse.  We specialize in reining basics and western riding, but welcome and encourage all other disciplines.  We also offer hunter pleasure and equitation lessons on your own horse.

 Confidence

We are dedicated to our clients and their horses.  But mostly we understand your dedication to your own horse and the desire to work confidently as a team, whether in the show pen or on trails.  To this end, we take a limited number of horses for individual training to give them the attention they deserve.  Our regimen of simple exercises and building on the basics results in a safe, healthy, and successful relationship.  With this solid foundation, you'll continue to experience progress months and even years into your partnership.

Communication

Have you ever questioned your own understanding of the dynamics between you and your horse?  Learn to read your horse at a whole new level and to have faith in your own interpretation and abilities.  Read and study safe, humane and ethical horsemanship theories of master horsemen such as Ray Hunt, Tom Dorrance, and Buck Brannaman.  We have a library of books and resources you can view and check out.

Harmony

Riding should never feel like a chore, a contest of wills, or a safety risk.  It should be a beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable part of your day.  At Rein Dance, whether you are a competitor or weekend trail rider, you will benefit from our training program.  With preparation, timing and confidence we will set the stage for you and your horse to reach your most ambitious goals or to have the most relaxed trail ride you've ever experienced.  These elements-preparation, timing, confidence-enable both of you to achieve your absolute best, not just "good enough".

Are you ready for Rein Dance and all the possibilities we have to offer?
We're ready to help you and your horse discover them.
